Mary Regets Workman, MA, NCC, LPC came to PCC in 2017. She has been working in the human service field since graduating with a BA in Sociology in 2006. She furthered her education with an MA in addictions counseling, and has since become a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor from the National Board of Certified Counselors.
Mary has an extensive background in both the mental health and substance abuse fields. Initially working as a caseworker to both children and families, she later became a therapist to assist at-risk youth with behavioral changes while also conducting family counseling.
Possessing a thorough knowledge of helpful community resources, Mary has also provided parenting educational services. Since 2012, she has been treating individuals for trauma, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression. In addition to her mental health work, she is also currently providing therapy for drug/alcohol issues.
Mary is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) which she uses to assist individuals with learning how to live a more pleasurable life. She also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to facilitate understanding of how our thoughts and feelings impact our daily lives.
